
- PuppetARTs goal is to bring people together by sharing the best of different traditions, folklore and art through professional puppetry performances.
- In 2001 PuppetARTs audience numbered more than 16,000. Its annual operating budget has grown from $40,000 in 1998 to $101,000 in 2001.
- PuppetART combines its Theater, Studio, and Museum programs to serve as an extension of the classroom. In 2002 PuppetART introduced a pilot program for teachers to integrate puppetry into their educational curricula.
- In 2002 PuppetART published "A History of Puppetry in Detroit" a historical research of the important events and people who influenced the development of puppetry in Detroit from the beginning of the 18th-century to current times.
- PuppetARTs yearly season includes a different performance each month and incorporates multiple and diverse programming such as "Holiday Month" (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas), a series of "Guest Artist" performances, and "Puppetry Month" in April.
- PuppetART is a part of the city of Detroits Department of Cultural Affairs "Cultural Connection Program, " which provides citizens with inexpensive transportation to selected art institutions.
